Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to design a garage door and reach a door company, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
The SectionalIQ door builder and the dealer dashboard are built and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- Every step of the builder can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline on every control.
- Buttons, choices and pictures have names a screen reader can read, and price changes are announced after you pause rather than on every tap.
- Moving to a new step puts the focus on that step's heading.
- Text and controls are sized for phones, tap targets are at least 44 pixels, and the page never scrolls sideways.
- Animations and smooth scrolling turn off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Our videos have captions.
- Each release is checked with automated accessibility testing (axe) on computers and phones, and keyboard and focus behavior is tested on its own.
Known limits
- The door and house drawing is a picture. Your choices are always listed in words next to it, in the summary and in the quote PDF.
- In "My house photo" mode you place the doors on your photo by dragging their corners, which needs a pointer or touch. You can use the drawn house instead.
- Door companies add the builder to their own websites, and the rest of their website is theirs.
Tell us about a problem
If something in SectionalIQ is hard to use, email support@sectionaliq.com with the page, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you use. We'll work on a fix and, in the meantime, help you get what you need.
